I pick "
(301) Maryland
".
Our Thursday night Football Winner is on Maryland + the points against Virginia Tech, as RESTED conference underdogs of more than 7, and less than 28 points are 27-4 ATS in Weekday games since 1980, if the favorite (here, Virginia Tech) is off a win and does not have revenge against our underdog. And we can improve our 27-4 stat to a perfect 9-0 ATS if our underdog (here, Maryland) is off a SU/ATS loss. With the Terrapins in off a 16-0 loss, and Virginia Tech in off a 27-24 win, let's back Ralph Friedgen's Terps in this ACC Thursday Night game. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

I pick "
(433) MIN Vikings
".
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Vikings as a big underdog vs. Indy, as we will play ON Mike Tice's crew off their blowout loss at the hands of the Giants last week (34-13 as a 7-point favorite). Since 1980, in NFL games between two teams that have .500 or better records, underdogs of more than 3 points are 10-0 ATS off exactly one loss, if they lost by more than 11 and were favored by 6+ points in that previous game. Even without Randy Moss, the Vikings are talented enough to upset Indianapolis, and the Colts' home field advantage is lessened because of Minnesota's familiarity in playing in domed stadiums. Take the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie.

Rested NBA teams off a win are 96-42 ATS vs. non-division foes off back-to-back outright underdog wins. Off upsets over Detroit and Houston, look for Toronto to lose Sunday afternoon to the Blazers. Take Portland.
