Ailing Yankee Ace
On June 15, 2008, in a game at Houston, Chien-Ming Wang fell and had a partial tear of a tendon in his right foot. He won't be able to pitch this season until September.
The Yankees lost 7 of 10 games shortly after losing Wang to the DL. They have been desperate for starters, picking up Sidney Ponson and trying several kids from triple A.
